Thousands of years ago, Isaiah, the prophet of destruction and comfort, proclaimed one of the most exciting prophecies to the people of Israel. The prophecy was made for the time of our generation: the generation of the prophetic endtime redemption of the people and land of Israel; the generation of the rebuilding of the Temple, Jerusalem, and the land of Israel. He included this in his prophecy as a key event and a condition for all the other godly prophetic endtime events. He prophesied that the rebuilding of the Temple would make Jerusalem and Israel the center point of G–d's Kingdom and an opening of the door to the redemption of all mankind which will bring a real peace to Israel and all the nations.
"The word that Isaiah the son of Amoz saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem. And it shall come to pass in the last days, that the mountain of the L-rd's house shall be established on the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow to it. And many people shall go and say, Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the L-rd, to the house of the G-d of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths; for from Zion shall go forth Torah, and the word of the L-rd from Jerusalem. And he shall judge among the nations, and shall decide for many people; and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning hooks; nation shall not lift up sword against nation, nor shall they learn war any more. O house of Jacob, come, and let us walk in the light of the L-rd." (Isaiah 2:1-5) In 1967, in a miraculous war, the G–d of Israel brought His children back to Biblical Jerusalem and the Temple Mount — the location of the First, Second, and Third Temples. Since that time, the Temple Mount and Land of Israel Faithful Movement has acted to make this major godly prophecy a reality in the lifetime of this generation exactly as G–d planned. In 1990 the Temple Mount Faithful Movement carried for the first time a cornerstone for the Third Temple. It was the climax of a long struggle and campaign of the Movement for the rebuilding of the house of G–d on the same location on the Temple Mount as that of the First and Second Temples. The Faithful Movement called on the Israeli Government to remove the mosque and the Dome of the Rock and the foreign pagan Arab Islamic worship from the holy hill of G–d. These buildings were built as a result of an imperialistic Arab occupation at the end of the seventh century CE The Faithful Movement called on the government to allow them to lay the cornerstone and to start the rebuilding of the Third Temple exactly as the G–d of Israel expects of His people to do in these days. When the cornerstone was carried to the southern wall and gates of the Temple Mount the Arabs reacted with violence and riots. The Israeli Authorities who control the Temple Mount stopped the riot but, unfortunately, showed weakness and the laying of the cornerstone was delayed. Since that time the Faithful Movement has repeatedly tried to lay the cornerstone, especially during the Festival of Sukkoth — the Feast of Tabernacles — the time of year at which King Solomon celebrated the completion of the building of the First Temple. In 2001 the Faithful Movement decided to lay the cornerstone on Tisha B'Av, the day which commemorates the destruction of the First and Second Temples. Zechariah prophesied that Tisha B'Av, like all the other fasts, would no longer be days of mourning but a day on which the Temple would be rebuilt.
"Thus says the L-rd: I have returned to Zion, and will dwell in the midst of Jerusalem; and Jerusalem shall be called the City of Truth; and the mountain of the L-rd of hosts the Holy Mountain. ... Thus says the L-rd of hosts: The fast of the fourth month, and the fast of the fifth, and the fast of the seventh, and the fast of the tenth, shall become times of joy and gladness, and cheerful feasts to the house of Judah; therefore love truth and peace." (Zechariah 8:3,19)
At the exciting event of Tisha B'Av 2001, the cornerstone shocked the land of Israel, the Middle East, and all the world. People lay cornerstones all over the world but who pays attention to them? One cornerstone for the endtime Temple of G–d shook all the earth. On one hand, the Arabs and Moslems in the Middle East and other parts of the World demonstrated against the laying of the cornerstone and burned models of the Temple. In other places in the world it caused excitement, joy, and great hope. The cornerstone was again carried to the southern wall and gates of the Temple Mount but, once again, weakness on the part of the Israeli Authorities closed the gate. It was so sad that they did not listen to the Word of G–d. On Tisha B'Av 5763, 7 August 2003, The Temple Mount and Land of Israel Faithful Movement again decided to make this godly vision of Isaiah a reality in our lifetime in a special and exciting way. A few weeks prior to the day, the Faithful Movement again started a public and legal campaign to have the Temple Mount re-opened after it had been closed to the people of Israel for three years. It also sought to obtain permission to lay the two cornerstones on the Temple Mount. When the Authorities again showed weakness and decided not to open the Temple Mount on Tisha B'Av and not to allow the cornerstones to be moved from the place where they are located for fear of Arab Islamic reactions and riots, the Movement petitioned the Supreme Court of Israel. During the discussions in the Supreme Court, the Israeli Government promised as a response to our petition, that the Temple Mount would be opened permanently to Israelis and any one else who would go up there. The Supreme Court also decided that the authorities could not prevent the two cornerstones from being paraded past the walls of the Old City and through the main streets of the Jerusalem city center. Unfortunately, in their decision, they did not have the courage to open the gates of the Temple Mount to the two cornerstones. However, it was an historic decision which opened a new major phase in the campaign and struggle of the Faithful Movement for the rebuilding of the Temple. On the morning of Tisha B'Av, for the first time since the destruction of the Second Temple in 70 CE, the holy city of G–d, Jerusalem, saw cornerstones for the Temple. We showed the G–d and people of Israel that we are ready to make the godly vision of Isaiah a practical reality in our lifetime. On this historical day the Movement carried two large marble cornerstones (each 6.5 tons) on a truck decked with Israeli flags, the flags of the Temple, and long banners on which was written "Cornerstones for the Third Temple". The truck, followed by a line of cars with flags, drove along the western wall of the Old City and in the main streets of the Jerusalem city center. Police escorted the convoy, opening the way for a free procession of the cornerstones and giving an official level to this exciting historical event. This now became a practical event and reality in the streets Jerusalem and no longer was seen as a vision for the distant future. We felt the presence of G–d amongst us and in the streets of Jerusalem. We felt that history was being made in such an exciting way. We could hear the voice of G–d through His prophet Zechariah blessing and encouraging us:
"Thus says the L-rd of hosts: Let your hands be strong, you who hear in these days these words by the mouth of the prophets, who spoke on the day that the foundation of the house of the L-rd of hosts was laid, saying that the Temple might be built." (Zechariah 8:9) This historical major event will one day be recorded in history as an important stage before the rebuilding of the endtime Temple. This godly event was undertaken by the Temple Mount Faithful Movement, which is the messenger not only of the G–d and people of Israel but of millions of people all over the world in whose hearts the desire burns of the vision of Isaiah becoming a reality in their lifetime. The Faithful Movement, whose campaign has been joined by so many people from all the world, has started to make another major endtime vision of Isaiah a reality in our lifetime:
"Also the sons of the stranger, who join themselves to the L-rd, to serve him, and to love the name of the L-rd, to be his servants, every one who keeps the sabbath and does not profane it, and all who hold fast to my covenant; Even them will I bring to my holy mountain, and make them joyful in my house of prayer; their burnt offerings and their sacrifices shall be accepted upon my altar; for my house shall be called a house of prayer for all peoples." (Isaiah 56:6,7) A few hours later on this exciting day, we marched to the Temple Mount. On one hand there was sadness and fasting because of the destruction of the house of G–d and the continued presence of the pagan foreigners on the most hill of G–d and the desecration that they cause there. On the other hand there was a feeling of joy resulting from the morning's event with the cornerstones and the success of our campaign which would lead to the opening of the Temple Mount after Tisha B'Av. Indeed a few days later the Temple Mount was opened to everyone. The Minister of Internal Security stated that the Temple Mount would never again be closed to Israelis and non-Moslems. Moslems who tried to prevent Israelis from going up on the Temple Mount were arrested by the police and the Israeli police station on the Temple Mount again started to act intensively to prevent Arab riots, to keep the gates open, and to protect Israeli sovereignty on the hill of the G–d of Israel. This was an historical decision and an opening for the other stages that will follow and which will lead to the rebuilding of the Temple. The Temple Mount Faithful Movement will continue to do everything to ensure that it soon comes to pass.
In our march to the Temple Mount we again carried with us the model of the Temple as a clear message to the people of Israel, to all the world, and to the enemies of the G–d and people of Israel who still exist on the holy hill of G–d. Many Israelis took part in this important event. The members of the Faithful Movement dressed in sackcloth as a sign of mourning for the terrible destruction. Sitting on the holy ground in front of the western gate of the Temple Mount we read the Book of Lamentations and each one tore their clothing as Jews do when they see the Temple still in ruins. An ancient tradition dating from the time of the destruction of the Temple holds that all who mourn because of the destruction of the Temple will have the privilege of seeing the rebuilding of the Temple in their lifetime. This tradition also holds that the generation which does not rebuild the Temple is considered to be the same as the generation in whose lifetime the Temple was destroyed. At the end of the day, Gershon Salomon, the head of the Movement, prayed for an opening for new days of joy and building. He called on the Israeli Government to accept this godly challenge, to remove the foreign pagan Islamic Arab occupiers from the holy hill of G–d, to purify the hill, and to immediately rebuild the Temple which will open the door to the coming of Mashiach ben David and the establishment of the Kingdom of G–d in the midst of Israel and all the world. Time is short. This is what the G–d of Israel expects His people to do as the main mission and task of this generation.
This is really the most important challenge, message, and mission of our generation. We are no longer allowed to be considered a generation of destruction because G–d gave the privilege and opportunity to build the Temple. We are missing it by spiritual and practical weakness and by not trusting enough in our Almighty G–d but fearing men. We cannot and should not be a generation which is considered to be the same as a generation in whose lifetime the Temple was destroyed. This is the time to act and to fight for the rebuilding of the Temple. This is G–d's commandment to our generation. We are not allowed to miss it but to trust in the Word and promises of our beloved G–d. We are determined and we shall not cease acting and fighting day and night to bring this Word of G–d to pass in our lifetime; to place the G–d of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob at the center of the life of Israel and all the world in His purified and rebuilt house on the Temple Mount, and to again make Jerusalem the eternal capital of the G–d and people of Israel. This is the task and privilege that G–d gave to The Temple Mount and Land of Israel Faithful Movement. What a great mission and privilege it is. What can be greater than this? We are living in a great generation and G–d chose the Faithful Movement to be His servants in the redemption of Israel and all the world. It is a great privilege but, at the same time, a deep responsibility. We are ready to carry this responsibility and to serve the G–d of Israel day and night with total dedication and devotion. We are so grateful to G–d that He chose us as His messengers in these exciting times. Together with all the people of Israel and all our friends and members throughout the world, we are witnesses to the greatest event in the history of the the G–d of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob and His people, Israel. A great event is taking place in Jerusalem and the land of Israel: the G–d and people of Israel are again together in the Land and together they are creating the prophetic endtime event of the rebirth of the people and land of Israel, the rebuilding of the land and Jerusalem and, very soon, the rebuilding of the Temple. All of these prophetic redemptional events have a deep significance for all mankind. Together they prepare for the Kingdom of G–d and the coming of Mashiach ben David to Jerusalem to redeem Israel and all the world. Blessed and privileged are all whose eyes and hearts have been opened to see and understand and to join this exciting and prophetic godly event. They are blessed to be a part of the endtime Movement of G–d — the Temple Mount Faithful Movement, who decided to serve G–d with unlimited devotion day and night to bring to pass all G–d’s prophetic endtime promises and plans. G–d spoke to all of us and to those blessed people of this generation in His exciting prophetic Word through Isaiah and made it a daily reality in the life of our generation:
"Awake, awake; put on your strength, O Zion; put on your beautiful garments, O Jerusalem, the holy city; from now on there shall no more come to you the uncircumcised and the unclean. Shake yourself from the dust; arise, and sit down, O Jerusalem; loose yourself from the bands of your neck, O captive daughter of Zion. ... How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him who brings good news, who announces peace; who brings good news of good, who announces salvation; who says to Zion, Your G-d reigns! The voice of your watchmen is heard; together shall they sing; for they shall see eye to eye, when the L-rd returns to Zion. Break forth into joy, sing together, you ruins of Jerusalem; for the L-rd has comforted his people, he has redeemed Jerusalem. The L-rd has made bare his holy arm in the eyes of all the nations; and all the ends of the earth shall see the salvation of our G-d." (Isaiah 52:1,2,7-10) We are so thankful to G–d for making us and this generation witnesses to all this great prophecy which was prophesied thousands of years ago and has become a reality in the life of this generation.
In the coming days the Temple Mount Faithful Movement will intensively continue all her activities relating to her mission. During the coming Festival of Sukkoth, the Feast of Tabernacles, we are preparing an event. At 9:30 AM on the morning of 17 Tishrei 5764 (Monday, 13 October 2003), the Temple Mount Faithful Movement will make a pilgrimage to the Temple Mount to carry the cornerstones onto the Temple Mount. Hopefully the authorities will not prevent the laying of the cornerstones on the Temple Mount. As in Biblical times we will carry with us the lulav, etrog, hadas, and aravah — the four species G–d commanded Israel in the Torah to take, to pray, and to make a pilgrimage with to the Temple Mount. We shall also carry with us a Torah Scroll. This will be an exciting pilgrimage filled with prayer and worship of the G–d of Israel. Afterwards we shall march to the Pool of Siloam in the City of David where we shall fulfill another command of G–d in the Torah, This was the most joyful event and tradition during the First and Second Temple times. Many thousands of pilgrims marched from the Temple Mount to the Siloam Spring to draw the holy water with exciting prayers and then marched back to the Temple Mount and poured out the water on the altar dedicating it to G–d and praying to Him for a blessed winter with much rain on Israel, which was mainly an agricultural society, and on all the world. This exciting march and ceremony was held in the evening and all the streets of Jerusalem were lit with many lights. The High Priest and all the other priests, dressed in their beautiful garments, walked in front of the pilgrims. After the priests came the Levites in their special garments and playing on their musical instruments, singing Psalms and praying and sharing the Word of G–d. Jerusalem was empty of people for they had all joined the marchers dancing all the way, at the spring and in the Temple itself. The tradition which was passed from generation to generation states that all who had not seen this joyful celebration had never in their lives seen a joyful celebration. We are repeating this event during Sukkoth. Priests and Levites will march together with us playing music and singing Psalms and the joy will be great. During the afternoon of the same day we are planning to participate together with the two cornerstones on a banner-decked truck in the Jerusalem March in which Israelis from all over the land and guests from outside Israel will take part. We hope to be a part of this march and will do everything possible to participate. Everyone from Israel and outside Israel who are in the land at this time are invited to participate in all our events during Sukkoth. We will meet at the Western Wall plaza at 9:30 AM in front of the western gate of the Temple Mount. Together we will fulfill the Word of G–d and His commandment to His people, Israel, and to all the world as it was written above. We are looking forward to meeting all of you in a great godly day and a great, exciting and godly event. You will be very welcome. We are looking forward to great godly days in Israel and her eternal godly capital, Jerusalem. Together with the G–d of Israel we will overcome all the obstacles. Nothing can stop the determination of the G–d of Israel to redeem His chosen people and all mankind. The Temple Mount and Land of Israel Faithful Movement calls on everyone in Israel and all over the world to be a part of these great days and to help the Movement in every way to fulfill her godly mission and activities and to bring about the prophetic endtime causes which G–d gave her. We so much want to thank our dear members and friends who have joined the Faithful Movement with such great dedication, devotion, and generosity and who have stood with us for so many years with great faithfulness. The G–d and people of Israel will never forget what you did at a time when it was so needed and important. We want to thank those who will join us in the near future and who will share the godly work and mission with us. Soon, together, we will all see the great day of fulfillment. Together we shall stand hand-in-hand in the rebuilt house of G–d with our hearts joined and we shall thank our beloved G–d for the great privilege that He has given us of being a part of His exciting prophetic endtime plans, activities and promises. In G–d we trust. [ Published: 17 September 2003 ]
