Details of the 2010 Temple Mount Faithful Chanukah March

The Declaration of the Temple Mount Faithful to the Entire World During Her Chanukah March 2010 to the Temple Mount and Jerusalem

Note: This is the second in a series of reports of the activities of the Temple Mount and Land of Israel Faithful Movement since September 2010. Reports of other events will be published in the near future.

The Temple Mount and Land of Israel Faithful Movement performed a special and important event on the seventh day of Chanukah, Wednesday the 1st of Tevet 5771 (December 8th, 2010). This event took place during a very critical and godly time in the history of Israel and in the entire world, when so many nations are opposing the godly events of the re-establishment of the State of Israel and the making of Jerusalem and the Holy Temple Mount the capital of the G‑d and people of Israel. These major end-time events open a new godly era, not only in the history of Israel but also in the history of the entire world. The redemption of the people and the Land of Israel — the Holy Land — is the most important and exciting event in the history of mankind. It opens the door for the redemption of the entire world just as it was prophesied by all the prophets of Israel thousands of years ago.

Unfortunately, since the re-establishment of the Kingdom of G‑d and the State of Israel in 1948 ce as a prophetic and godly testimony to the entire world, the pressure upon Israel from the nations has never waned. Israel was attacked in seven wars and through barbaric terrorism by the Arab-Islamic nations in an attempt to stop the godly event that is called the State of Israel. At the same time, most of the nations in the West and the East never stopped pressuring Israel to divide her Land — given by G‑d only to the people of Israel — in order to create a foreign, anti-godly "Palestinian state", which never existed in the Holy Land, and to make Jerusalem a "Palestinian Islamic capital". This pressure is now coming to its climax, when the Arab and the Islamic world are again calling to destroy Israel as they prepare nuclear weapons to accomplish their goal. It is difficult to understand and accept how the leaders of the European Union and the American administration, together with the United Nations, can put this pressure on Israel to divide its Land, despite what the Holy Word of G‑d says in the Bible, a book that is well-known to all of them: that the Holy Land of Israel was given only to Israel by G‑d for a purpose that has a major prophetic significance to the entire world. This is puzzling especially since they know that a "Palestinian State" in the midst of the Land of Israel means the destruction of the people and the Land of Israel. G‑d, however, will never allow this to happen, as it was written in His Holy Word. This pressure upon Israel is an outright rebellion against G‑d and His Holy Word and it will bring His judgment upon all of them:

"For, behold, in those days, and in that time, when I shall bring back the captivity of Judah and Jerusalem, I will also gather all nations, and will bring them down into the valley of Jehoshaphat, and will enter into judgment with them there for my people and for my heritage Israel, whom they have scattered among the nations, and have divided up my land.... Thus says the L‑RD of hosts; I was zealous for Zion with great zeal, and I was zealous for her with a great fury..... Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of staggering to all the peoples round about, and it shall also be for Judah during the siege against Jerusalem. And on that day I will make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all the peoples: all that burden themselves with it shall be grievously hurt: and all the peoples of the earth shall be gathered together against it.... And it shall come to pass on that day, that I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem.... Then shall the L‑RD go out, and fight against those nations, as when He fought in the day of battle....Behold, He who keeps Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep. The L‑RD is thy keeper: the L‑RD is thy shade upon thy right hand." (Joel 4:1-2 [Christian Bible: Joel 3.1-2]; Zechariah 8:2; 12:2-3,9; 14:3; Psalms 121:4-5)

More than 2,177 years ago, in a time very similar to ours, when the Kingdom of G‑d and the Land of Israel were under the control of the Greek Hellenistic Empire, and pressure came upon Israel from all the surrounding nations to make the Holy Land a part of this pagan empire, the G‑d of Israel, together with the faithful children among His people Israel, judged and defeated the largest empire of those days, liberated the Holy Land from foreign control, and purified the Holy Temple of G‑d in Jerusalem from foreign pagan worship. Through this victory G‑d brought Israel back to its original godly purpose so that it could continue to be the people of G‑d and not slaves of any human power in the world, to be "a holy nation, a kingdom of priests and a light to the nations" (Exodus 19:6).

The Temple Mount and Land of Israel Faithful Movement decided to hold the Chanukah event because of the similarity and significance of the original historical event to our present era when Israel is once again under fierce pressure from all the nations. Otherwise, Israel will sink into the pagan materialistic culture, and the secular humanistic cosmopolitan society so popular today, and she will lose her unique godly identity and the divine purpose that G‑d ordained only for her. Israel must never listen to the powerful unified voice of the nations; only to the voice of G‑d Almighty.

During the Chanukah march the Temple Mount Faithful Movement declared to the entire world: "Take your hands off the people of G‑d and the Land of the G‑d and people Israel! Stop your rebellion against the G‑d of Israel and His decision to choose Israel and to give only to her the Holy Land of Israel, Jerusalem, and His Holy Temple Mount." This was the same warning that G‑d gave to the Greek Hellenistic Empire that occupied the Land of Israel more than 2,000 years ago. In those days the G‑d of Israel encouraged His people to liberate the Holy Land that He gave to them. He promised the Maccabees, who led the battle, that He would fight together with them and judge the Greek empire on the field of battle.

The Temple Mount Faithful Movement decided to begin its Chanukah march to the Temple Mount in Jerusalem from the city of Modi'in because of the significance of the victory of the Maccabees over the Hellenistic empire 2,177 years ago in relation to Israel's current situation. It was a great victory, when G‑d fought together with the Maccabees and changed the course of history for Israel forever from being a Hellenistic nation to being the ordained nation of G‑d and His Word.

Therefore, our special event started in Modi'in, the ancient city of the Maccabees. We lit the eight candles of the Chanukah menorah and the torch of the Maccabees, which we subsequently carried to Jerusalem and to the Holy Temple Mount. From the ancient town of the Maccabees, a town of priests that served in the Second Holy Temple in Jerusalem, we read from the Book of the Maccabees the message to all of the nations spoken by Simon the Maccabee, the son of the High Priest Matityahu, who started the revolt against the Greek empire: "The Land of Israel is not a foreign land for Israel but a land that G‑d gave to only Israel in an eternal covenant. This is the only land in the world ever given by G‑d to a nation, to Israel. The Land of Israel was robbed from us by foreigners and now G‑d has returned it to Israel and no one in the world has any right to this Land besides Israel, the people of G‑d". From Modi'in we sent this message of Simon the Maccabee to the entire world, especially to those who want to divide the Land of Israel. This declaration to the nations that was given by Simon the Maccabee 2,177 years ago was our declaration to the nations of today. It is clearly quite relevant to our time.

From Modi'in we continued to Jerusalem on the same paths where the Maccabees battled against the Greek empire, through the mountains of Beit Horon, an exciting biblical area where the Maccabees experienced great victories that inspired all of us.

In biblical Jerusalem we demonstrated in the midst of the plaza of the Jaffa Gate. We lit the Chanukah Temple Menorah and we swore faithfulness to the G‑d of Israel, to Jerusalem, to the Holy Mountain of G‑d, and to the Land of Israel, that it will never again be divided. From this holy place Gershon Salomon, the founder and chairman of the Temple Mount Faithful Movement, sent this declaration to the entire world and to Israel:

  1. Jerusalem is the eternal capital of the G‑d and people of Israel. King David answered the call of G‑d more than 3,000 years ago and dedicated it to be the eternal capital of Israel, the holy city, where G‑d dwells among His people Israel forever. After almost 2,000 years of destruction and exile, G‑d returned Jerusalem to His chosen people Israel, where He will once again dwell among them in the soon-to-be rebuilt Holy Temple on the Holy Temple Mount.
  2. In 1967 G‑d returned the Holy Temple Mount to His people Israel in order to remove the Arab Islamic enemy and their desecrations of the Holy Hill of G‑d and to immediately rebuild His Holy Temple so that He can dwell in Jerusalem in His Holy Third Temple among His people Israel and even among all the nations (Isaiah 2:1-4 and Micah 4:1-4). The Temple Mount Faithful Movement is calling to immediately purify the Holy Temple Mount and to rebuild the Holy Temple of G‑d without delay. Only this will bring a moral godly foundation and true authentic peace to the entire world.
  3. The Land of Israel was given by G‑d "only to His people Israel for a godly purpose in an eternal covenant and the Land will never again be divided: "In the same day the L‑RD made a covenant with Abram, saying, To thy seed have I given this land, from the river of Egypt to the great river, the river Euphrates..." (Genesis 15:18). The Temple Mount and Land of Israel Faithful Movement is calling on the entire world to respect this eternal Word of G‑d. We are calling upon the Arab and Islamic enemies of Israel to immediately stop their violence, their wars, and their terror against Israel which they wage in order to try to destroy her, and for them to be aware of the severe judgment of G‑d. A foreign and anti-godly "Palestinian State" cannot and will not be established in the Land of Israel; it is against the Word of G‑d. G‑d spoke in His Holy Word and said to all of the nations: 'I created the entire universe. It belongs to Me and I can give any part of it to whom I want. I decided to give the Promised Land to My people Israel and not to any others in the world.'
  4. The people of Israel are an ordained prophetic creation of G‑d for His Holy purposes in order to be: "... a holy nation, a kingdom of priests and a light to the nations..." (Exodus 19:5,6). For this eternal purpose G‑d gave the Land of Israel to His people forever. The Word of G‑d is irrevocable, unlike what some of the nations mistakenly thought. The covenant of G‑d with the people and the Land of Israel is eternal as He spoke it in His Holy Word so many times and so excitingly through His prophet Jeremiah: "Thus says the L‑RD, who gives the sun for a light by day, and the ordinances of the moon and of the stars for a light by night, who stirs up the sea that its waves roar; the L‑RD of hosts is His name: If those ordinances depart from before me, says the L‑RD, then the seed of Israel also shall cease from being a nation before me forever." (Jeremiah 31:35-36) For this purpose G‑d regathered His people Israel to the Land of Israel and re-established the Kingdom of Israel in order to accomplish the eternal mission that He gave to Israel.
  5. Israel should and will trust only in the Almighty G‑d of Israel and not in human beings. The Temple Mount Faithful Movement is calling the people of Israel to trust G‑d and His promises and not to fear any human power in the world (Isaiah 2:22; Jeremiah 17:5-8). Salvation for Israel will come only from G‑d.
  6. The Temple Mount Faithful Movement is calling Israel to remain faithful only to the Almighty G‑d of Israel. Israel should again be a biblical nation and fulfill G‑d's biblical mission ordained for her and for the entire world. For the accomplishment of this mission G‑d regathered His people Israel back to the Land that He gave to them more than 4,000 years ago.

From the Jaffa Gate the Faithful marched through the historical streets of biblical Jerusalem — where the kings and prophets of Israel and the Maccabees walked — to the Holy Temple Mount. We lit the Chanukah Temple Menorah along with the Torch of the Maccabees. In the most holy place of the G‑d and the people of Israel, the Temple Mount Faithful Movement called the Israeli government to do what the Maccabees did 2,177 years ago when they removed the pagan statues of the Greeks from the Holy Temple of G‑d and renewed worship to the G‑d of Israel. The Faithful Movement called upon the Israeli government to utilize the expertise of its official Israeli engineers to move the pagan shrines that were built on the site of the Holy Temple and the Holy of Holies back to their origin in Mecca. These anti-godly pagan shrines were established as a result of the foreign Arab imperialistic occupation. The government must immediately stop the illegal Arab diggings presently taking place on the Holy Temple Mount, along with the destruction of the holy remains of the First and Second Holy Temples. The Faithful Movement called upon the Israeli government to immediately purify the Holy Temple Mount and to rebuild the Holy Third Temple as G‑d is expecting Israel to do without delay.

The prayers of the Faithful covered the atmosphere of the Holy Hill of G‑d and Jerusalem. Everyone could feel the presence of the G‑d of Israel as His Israeli children were once again standing on the Holy Temple Mount with open hearts and a deep desire to see the Word of G‑d and King David becoming a living reality in their lifetime for the sake of Israel and all of the world:

"A Song of Accent by David. I was glad when they said to me, Let us go into the house of the L‑RD: when our feet stood within thy gates, O Jerusalem; O Jerusalem, built as a city that is compact together: there the tribes used to go up, the tribes of the L‑RD, an appointed practice for Israel, to give thanks to the name of the L‑RD. For there are set thrones of judgment, the thrones of the house of David. Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: they who love thee shall prosper: peace be within thy walls, and prosperity within thy palaces. For my brethren and companions' sakes, I will now say, Peace be within thee. For the sake of the house of the L‑RD our G‑D I will seek thy good." Psalm 122
