Jerusalem Day is the most important and prophetic holiday in the 4,000 year history of the chosen people of the G‑d of Israel. On this day in June 1967 the eternal capital of the G‑d and People of Israel was liberated after 1,897 years of destruction, which commenced in the year 70 ce when Jerusalem was burned by the pagan forces of Rome who destroyed and burned the Holy Temple of the G‑d of Israel on the Holy Temple Mount and the Holy City of Jerusalem. The people of Israel who fought and defended the Holy Temple of G‑d and Jerusalem until their last drop of blood were terribly persecuted. Hundreds of thousands of Israelites were executed by crucifixion, many of them were taken into exile, and the Romans left destruction and catastrophe throughout the Land of Israel.
Since this horrific time of upheaval the Holy Land changed hands and occupiers countless times. Each one of them added another layer of destruction to what the Romans initially did. For thousands of years Jerusalem and the Holy Land were the target of all the great pagan powers that surrounded the Land of Israel. Each of them wanted to destroy and eliminate Israel's monotheistic faith and belief in the one true G‑d of the Israelite nation. The pagan usurpers succeeded only to ravage physical destruction upon Israel but they failed every time to inflict spiritual destruction. They could not understand or accept the truth of monotheism that G‑d had mandated His People Israel to carry forth and to plant amongst a completely pagan mankind. For this purpose G‑d created Israel and anointed her to be "...a holy nation, a kingdom of priests and a light to the nations." (Exodus 19:6)
After 1,897 years of destruction and exile the greatest godly end-time prophetic event ever in the life of the People and Land of Israel, and even in the life of the entire world, happened when all of the consoling end-time promises of the G‑d of Israel and His prophets became a reality in just one day.
The prophet Isaiah asked the exciting question 2,500 years earlier: "Who has heard of such a thing? Who has seen such things? Shall the earth be made to bring forth in one day? Or shall a nation be born in one moment? And the Almighty G‑d of Israel answered: "For as soon as Zion travailed, she brought forth her children. Shall I bring to the birth, and not cause to bring forth? Says the L‑RD: or shall I who cause to bring forth, thereupon shut the womb? Says thy G‑d." (Isaiah 66:8,9)
In the year 1948 ce and again in the year 1967 ce G‑d proved and fulfilled the words of the prophet Isaiah in front of the eyes of all the nations. These promises are daily finding fulfillment in the very same Land of Israel and Jerusalem and not in any other place in the world, as G‑d promised, and in the exact way He promised to His People Israel. In the year 1948 ce the State of Israel, the Kingdom of G‑d, was reestablished by the G‑d of Israel as He continued to regather all of His People Israel from every corner of the world. Jerusalem again became the capital of the G‑d and People of Israel. The Holy Land that had diminished into a desolate wilderness under the foreign occupiers started to come back to life. Throughout the past 64 years ancient biblical cities and villages have been rebuilt continuing the process of reconstruction that had been pioneered in previous decades. Exactly as G‑d promised to Israel in His Holy Word thousands of years ago, the Land again became a Holy Land and the land "...of milk and honey...".
"Behold, days are coming, says the L‑RD, when the ploughman shall overtake the reaper, and the treader of grapes him who sows seed; and the mountains shall drop sweet wine, and all the hills shall melt. And I will bring back the captivity of my people of Israel, and they shall build the waste cities, and inhabit them; and they shall plant vineyards, and drink their wine; they shall also make gardens, and eat the fruit of them. And I will plant them upon their land, and they shall no more be plucked up out of their land which I have given them, says the L‑RD thy G‑d." (Amos 9:13-15)
The Word of G‑d to His beloved bride and wife, as He calls His Chosen People Israel, became a reality when biblical Jerusalem and the Holy Temple Mount of G‑d, which were divided since 1948, were liberated in the year 1967 by the Israeli Army of G‑d. It was at this pivotal time when the comforting words of G‑d to His People Israel through His prophet Isaiah became, in just a few days time, an exciting living reality word-by-word:
"For the sake of Zion I will not hold my peace, and for the sake of Jerusalem, I will not be still, until her righteousness goes forth like radiance, and her salvation like a burning torch. And the nations shall see thy righteousness, and all kings thy glory: and thou shalt be called by a new name, which the mouth of the L‑RD shall express. Thou shalt also be a crown of glory in the hand of the L‑RD, and a royal diadem in the hand of thy G‑d. Thou shalt no more be termed Forsaken; neither shall thy land any more be termed Desolate: but thou shalt be called Hefzibah (My Delight is in Her), and thy land Be'ula (Espoused); for the L‑RD delights in thee, and thy land shall be espoused. For as a young man takes to himself a virgin, so shall thy sons take thee to themselves, and as the bridegroom rejoices over the bride, so shall thy G‑d rejoice over thee. I have set watchmen upon thy walls, O Jerusalem, who shall never hold their peace day or night: you that make mention of the L‑RD, take no rest, and give him no rest till he establishes, and till he makes Jerusalem a praise in the earth. The L‑RD has sworn by his right hand, and by the arm of his strength, Surely I will no more give thy corn to be food for thy enemies; and the sons of the stranger shall not drink thy wine for which thou hast laboured: but they that have gathered it shall eat it, and praise the L‑RD; and they that have brought it together shall drink it in the courts of my sanctuary." (Isaiah 62:1-9)
I will never forget the great moment during the 1967 godly war, when the Holy Temple Mount was liberated by the Israeli forces of G‑d, and I stood for the first time in my life at the location of the Holy of Holies of the Holy Temple where the rock of Abraham and Isaac is located. A short time earlier G‑d had saved my life during a heavy battle with the Syrian enemy of Israel while I, as a young officer, commanded an Israeli army unit. G‑d and His angels fought together with my unit exactly as He promised: "Then shall the L‑RD go out, and fight against those nations, as when he fought in the day of battle." Zechariah 14:3
The enemy was, indeed, defeated and though I was severely injured when a military tank drove over my body, G‑d appeared with His angels, saved my life and anointed me to build His Holy Temple (more details about this great godly event will be shared in another article).
A second great godly event occurred when G‑d appeared again in my life. It was in June 1967 when I stood together with the Israeli soldiers who liberated the Holy Temple Mount on the third day of the Six Days War, after Syria, Jordan, and Egypt attacked Israel with support from the Soviet Union and their military aircraft and pilots. Like in biblical times G‑d fought together with the Israeli forces and in six short days the Arab forces were entirely defeated. In this dramatic holy war, Almighty G‑d returned to Israel, exactly as He promised in His end-time prophetic words, all of the biblical areas that were under occupation by the Muslims for centuries. G‑d delivered the biblical heartland of the Holy Land of Israel to His People Israel including Judea, Samaria, Gaza, the Golan Heights, the Sinai, and at the climax of the war, even the Holy Temple Mount and biblical Jerusalem were once again in Israel's possession. There are so many exciting reports from Israeli soldiers who returned from various fields of battle and have shared remarkable stories of how G‑d appeared with His angels in the fields of battle and fought together with the heroic soldiers and gave them so many victories.
When we stood on the Holy Temple Mount in the day of liberation with tears of joy in our eyes, we could feel the presence of G‑d on His Holy Hill when we heard General Motta Gur announce "...the Holy Temple Mount is again in our hands!" For almost 2,000 years the people of Israel prayed and desired to hear this exciting statement. And when it came to pass, Israelis all over the land stopped their lives and cried like babies because of their joy: "a dream and prayers of almost two thousand years became, in one solitary moment, a reality." When Jacob, four thousand years ago, dreamed and saw in his dream a ladder standing between heaven and earth and angels ascending and descending upon it, G‑d showed him a gate to heaven. This was heaven's gate that is located upward from the Holy of Holies on Mount Moriah, the Holy Temple Mount. Through this gate the Shekinah of G‑d dwelled in the Holy of Holies of the Holy Temple exactly as He spoke to His People Israel: "Build Me a temple and I will dwell among you..." (Exodus 25:8). Through this gate G‑d shared with His Chosen People Israel His Word, His guidance, His love, and His protection. After the destruction of the Holy Temple this gate was closed. G‑d promised that this gate will again be opened when His People Israel will be redeemed and the Holy Temple is rebuilt. On the day of the 1967 liberation we felt that this gate started to reopen. At this great moment, that could happen only once during the long history of the Israeli nation, we felt like our feet were touching holy ground but our heads were in heaven. At this godly moment I felt again like G‑d was speaking to my heart and I could feel the presence of the G‑d of Israel so strongly telling me: "For this moment, I saved your life. Go to my people Israel and tell them to immediately rebuild my Holy Temple so that I will again dwell among them."
Immediately after this war, when I finished my service in the Israeli Army, I founded the Temple Mount and Land of Israel Faithful Movement to become the vessel of G‑d in order to rebuild His Holy Temple and Kingdom — that would answer His call to His People Israel and to me.
It is now 45 years since that great prophetic moment. After that the Defence Minister of Israel, Moshe Dayan, called back the Arab Islamic enemy allowing them to continue their pagan presence on the Holy Temple Mount of Israel. Dayan's decision was the result of weakness in the Israeli leadership who were concerned about a violent reaction from a billion Muslims, and even from the entire world, if they would remove the Islamic mosques from the Holy Temple Mount, as the G‑d of Israel expected them to do and to rebuild the Holy Temple. They feared human beings and did not trust the promises of G‑d — that He will always stand with His People Israel and will never allow any one in the world to touch His People when they fulfill His call and His Word. It was a sinful mistake that G‑d never accepted and consequently He called forth and anointed the Temple Mount and Land of Israel Faithful Movement to correct the transgression without delay. It is now 45 years later and we feel and know that time is short and nothing can stop the determined end-time decision of G‑d to rebuild His Holy Temple so that He can again dwell among His People Israel. We will soon worship the G‑d of Israel in His Third Holy Temple that will be "...a house of prayer, worship and love for all nations". (Isaiah 56:7)
Forty-five years after the liberation of the Holy Temple Mount and biblical Jerusalem, and after Israel regained sovereignty over the Holy Temple Mount and biblical Jerusalem and made them again to be the eternal capital of the G‑d and People of Israel, the Temple Mount and Land of Israel Faithful Movement marched from Ammunition Hill, the site of the most heroic battle during the Six Day War, to biblical Jerusalem and to the Holy Temple Mount. We have engaged in 45 years of intensive work, campaigning and educating both Israeli people and also people around the world about the urgent need to build the Third Holy Temple, which will open a new godly, moral, and peaceful era upon the entire earth for all of mankind (Isaiah 2:1-4; Micah 4:1-4).
When we marched on the streets of Jerusalem to the Holy Temple Mount, we could feel the presence of G‑d in the streets and on the mountains of Jerusalem. G‑d again appeared to His People Israel to share with them His Holy Word, to guide them with His Holy morals, to share with them His Love and to protect them against the many enemies who are coming again to eliminate the People of G‑d from the map of the world and trying to confound the decision of Almighty G‑d to replant His People Israel in the Land of Israel, to be "...a holy nation, a kingdom of priests and a light to the nations" (Exodus 19:5,6), in a very excessive and materialistic age, when it is needed more than any time in the past. When we marched in the streets of biblical Jerusalem and suddenly there appeared before us Mount Moriah, the Holy Temple Mount, with all of it's physical, spiritual, and godly beauty, we could feel and hear as if G‑d was speaking to us from His Holy Mountain with His love and mercy saying: "the Temple Mount, Jerusalem, and the Holy Land that I gave to my people Israel will never fall again. My Holy Temple must and will soon be rebuilt again. The enemies of my People Israel will soon be removed from My Holy Temple Mount, Jerusalem, and the Land that I gave only to My People Israel in an eternal covenant for an eternal purpose." When we arrived to the Holy Temple Mount, we could feel again so strongly the presence of the G‑d of Israel as speaking again to us and to all His People Israel:
"I have set watchmen upon thy walls, O Jerusalem, who shall never hold their peace day or night! arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the L‑RD is risen upon thee..." (Isaiah 62:6;60:1)
The Temple Mount and Land of Israel Faithful Movement finished the march to the Holy Temple Mount with great encouragement and with a feeling that time is short and that the Holy Temple is soon to be rebuilt. When we watch what G‑d is doing together with His People Israel in the Holy Land, we know that the time to build is soon to come and that no power in the world can stop it. We feel the presence of G‑d and His encouragement in all of our activities. The Faithful Movement, thanks to G‑d, has made major progress since we started our campaign in the year 1967, and especially since we decided to lay the cornerstone for the Holy Third Temple on the Holy Temple Mount during the years 1989-90 and since then again and again and soon other stones will be ready for the Holy Third Temple. Stage-by-stage the great dream and vision of the People of G‑d during the last 2,000 years will become a living reality that will change the face of all of mankind when G‑d will dwell again in His rebuilt Holy Temple among His People Israel and among all His creation from Jerusalem.
The Temple Mount and Land of Israel Faithful Movement wants to thank very much all our friends and members in Israel and around the world that stand faithfully with the Movement and always help and encourage her to accomplish her holy mission and work. Only because of this loyal encouragement, help and support have we come to this important stage in our work and only with a continuance of faithful partners standing with the Movement will our common goal come to pass in our lifetime. We are calling everyone in the world to join the Faithful Movement and to help her to accomplish her holy mission. Such a great privilege that we have together to be the builders of the eternal Holy Temple of G‑d in Jerusalem and in His end-time kingdom from Jerusalem for the benefit of the entire world.
