The Temple Mount Faithful declaration also stated:
"Like the Maccabees, the Faithful Movement rejects all international pressure on Israel to divide the eternal capital of the G‑d and People of Israel and to continue foreign Arab Islamic presence and control on the Holy Temple Mount of the G‑d and People of Israel in Jerusalem. This desecretion should be immediately removed! The Holy Temple Mount should immediately be purified and the Holy Third Temple should be built by Israel without delay!"
"An evil "Palestinian" State never was and never will be in Jerusalem, the eternal capital of the G‑d and People of Israel, or in any other part of the Holy Land of Israel Given by G‑d only to His People Israel for a purpose that is eternal!"
"No human power in the world can change these decisions of G‑d and the eternal covenant that G‑d has made with His Chosen People Israel and the Holy Land of Israel!"
On Chanukah, December 4, 2013, the Temple Mount and Land of Israel Faithful Movement conducted a very special event that started in Modi'in, the ancient town of the Maccabees, and continued to the Holy Temple Mount in Jerusalem. The event took place during this remarkable time in the history of Israel when the People and the Land of Israel are being redeemed by the G‑d of Israel. At the same time, and with similarities to the Maccabean era, pressure is coming on Israel from her Arab and Islamic enemies and from most of the world to again make the Holy Temple Mount in Jerusalem a foreign Arab-Islamic site in order to stop Israel from attaining her biblical mandate to return to G‑d's holy mountain and build the Holy Third Temple. Furthermore, Israel's current enemies are pressuring her to divide Jerusalem, the eternal capital of the Jewish People, and to establish, in the midst of the most biblical areas of the Land of Israel, a "Palestinian" Arab-Islamic state, a state which never existed and never will exist in the Land of Israel, for the Land was given by the G‑d of Israel only to His Chosen People Israel for an eternal purpose: to exist in the Land as "a holy nation, a kingdom of priests and a light to the nations" (Exodus 19:5-6). Such an evil "Palestinian" Islamic state would surely lead to the fulfillment of Israel's Arab-Islamic enemies ultimate goal of destroying the State of Israel.
On Chanukah 2013 the Faithful Movement stood in front of the Maccabean Tombs in Modi'in and committed herself, in the name of the People of Israel, to bring to pass again the Maccabean heritage during the lifetime of our generation, which is so similar to their time:
In Modi'in we also commemorated the Maccabean heritage and their heroism when the "few", combined with the presence and leadership of the G‑d of Israel, defeated the greatest military power in the world, the Greek Hellenistic Empire. This astounding victory saved the People and the Land of Israel from becoming assimilated into the Hellenistic Empire with its ungodly and pagan culture.
It was in the year 166 bce that the Hellenist Empire controlled the Land of Israel, persecuted the Israelites, and forced them to accept Hellenistic culture and faith. More than this, the Hellenists placed an idolatrous statue inside the Holy of Holies of the Jewish Temple in Jerusalem. This was a critical moment in the history of Israel, when all the nations under the Greek Hellenistic control accepted the Hellenistic culture and paganism and were assimilated into it. The Maccabeans showed the entire world that no human power in all the earth can deter Israel from being faithful to the G‑d of Israel — the one and only true G‑d in the universe — and from worshiping only Him.
At the second century bc critical moment in the history of Israel, G‑d raised up His messengers, the Maccabees. The revolt against the Hellenistic Empire started in the small town of Modi'in, 22 miles northwest of Jerusalem. The man chosen by G‑d to begin this revolution and to save Israel was the high-priest, Mattiyahu the Hasmonean. He had not been able to fulfill his position as the High Priest in the Temple in Jerusalem because Jewish worship in the Temple had ceased when the Holy Place was desecrated and defiled by the Hellenists with their idol.
One day Hellenist soldiers came to Modi'in, a town of Jewish priests, and erected an idol in the center of the town as they had done all over the Land of Israel. They tried to force the Jews to bow to the idol and to eat pork. The heart of Mattiyahu was broken as he watched all of this. The Spirit of G‑d arose within him and he called on the Jewish people in Modi'in: "He who is with G‑d will come with me!" As a model of courage in front of his people, Mattiyahu destroyed the idol, burned the pork, and killed the Hellenistic soldiers. Immediately Mattiyahu's five sons, together with other Jews in Modi'in, joined with Mattiyahu. They felt the presence of the G‑d of Israel in their hearts and the great Maccabean revolt had started!
They began as a small group, just a few against the largest empire of that era. As in biblical times, and as in the Israel of today, the G‑d of Israel fought together with them and they went from victory to victory against huge forces from the Greek Empire that were sent to the Land of Israel one after the other to break this revolt.
From the beginning of the revolt the eyes and the hearts of the Maccabeans were directed to the Holy Temple Mount and to Jerusalem. The Maccabeans won battle after battle on the way to liberate the Holy Temple Mount and Jerusalem. As G‑d promised His People Israel, a small minority together with G‑d defeated the great majority of this Empire. The Maccabeans immediately removed and destroyed the idol from the Holy of Holies and purified the Holy Temple. They immediately reintroduced Hebrew worship in the Holy Temple but they did not have sufficient pure holy oil for the menorah in the Temple. But then G‑d provided yet another miracle. In the corner of the Temple, they found a small container of pure olive oil, which had enough oil for only one day. However, when the menorah was lit, it burned for eight days, the exact amount of time it took to procure a new supply of pure olive oil. The Maccabeans declared in the same moment that the Chanukah holiday will continue for eight days forever and ever to glorify the G‑d of Israel, who blessed them with so many miracles.
At this vital time of Chanukah 2013 the Faithful Movement stood in front of the Maccabean Tombs in Modi'in and called upon the people of Israel to follow in the footsteps of the Maccabeans. In the ears of all the people of Israel, Gershon Salomon, chairman of the Faithful Movement, like Mattiyahu the high priest, called to Israel: "He who is with G‑d will come with me!"
Gershon encouraged the people of Israel to trust only the G‑d of Israel, to resist the pressure coming against Israel from her enemies and from many other places in the world, and to continue rebuilding the kingdom of G‑d in Jerusalem and all over the Holy Land of Israel. It was an exciting moment. We felt the presence of G‑d among us when Gershon proclaimed the call of the G‑d of Israel to His People:
"In that day it shall be said to Jerusalem, Fear thou not: and to Zion, Let not thy hands be slack. The LORD thy G‑d is in the midst of thee; a mighty one who will save; he will rejoice over thee with joy; he will be silent in his love, he will joy over thee with singing.... for I will make you a name and a praise among all the people of the earth." (Zephaniah 3:16-17,20)
In front of the Holy of Holies the Faithful Movement lit this special menorah and dedicated it to be in the Holy Third Temple forever, and to be lit every year on Chanukah exactly as the exiled Jews from Jerusalem prayed, and that it would come to pass in the time when G‑d redeems His people Israel. Again, we felt the presence of G‑d among us in this most holy place when Gershon, calling the government of Israel to purify the Holy Temple Mount and immediately build the Holy Third Temple, read the following words and promises to Israel and her friends throughout the world:
"And it shall come to pass in the last days, that the mountain of the LORD's house shall be established on the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow to it. And many people shall go and say, "Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, to the house of the G‑d of Jacob; and He will teach us of His ways, and we will walk in His paths; for from Zion shall go forth Torah, and the Word of the LORD from Jerusalem. And He shall judge among the nations, and shall decide for many people: and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning hooks; nation shall not lift up sword against nation, nor shall they learn war any more... But they shall sit every man under his vine and under his fig tree; and none shall make them afraid: for the mouth of the LORD of Hosts has spoken it." (Isaiah 2:2-4, Micah 4:1-4)
