Rabbi Killed in Hebron by Arab Terrorist

On the night of Thursday 20th August, Rabbi Shlomo Ra'anan of Hebron was stabbed to death by an Arab terrorist. The terrorist was sent by the PLO, headed by the murderer Yasser Arafat, and Hamas terror organizations. After killing the Rabbi, the terrorist fled to the area controlled by the Palestinian Authority in Hebron where he knew that he would find refuge from judgement.

Rabbi Ra'anan was one of the major friends and supporters of the Temple Mount and Land of Israel Faithful Movement. He very often used to go up to the Temple Mount to walk and to pray silently deep in his heart (the Arabs don't allow open prayer) for the rebuilding of the House of G-d, Jerusalem and the land of Israel and for the success of the cause and the activities of the Temple Mount Faithful. The terrorist killed his good heart but he could not kill his godly spirit. His holy godly spirit will continue and live forever with the G-d of Israel and His people. His testament will be completely carried out by The Temple Mount and Land of Israel Faithful Movement. As in the past and now even more so, we shall dedicate everything in our lives that this testament will be fulfilled in our lifetime.

Sixty-three year old Rabbi Ra'anan left a wife and seven children. He was killed while he slept by the terrorist who entered through the window. He was killed only because he was Jewish. He was a righteous man who played an important part in the fulfillment of the godly Zionist redemptional process in Israel. Rabbi Ra'anan was the grandson of Rabbi Avraham Kook, the first chief rabbi of Israel in the early part of the century. He was the biggest Zionist rabbi and the spiritual father of the religious Zionist redemption movement of Israel. His son, Rabbi Zvi Yehuda Kook, was the founder and defined the ideology of the Gush Emunim Movement which resettled the land of Israel and other movements which dedicated themselves to the godly redemption process of Israel in our time and to the making of G-d's prophetic end-time Words a reality in our time. Gershon Salomon and many other members of the Temple Mount and Land of Israel Faithful Movement were students of Rabbi Zvi Yehuda Kook who was a base of inspiration to their holy cause of the redemption of the Temple Mount, Jerusalem and the land of Israel and the rebuilding of the Temple in our lifetime.

With such a background, it is not an accident that Rabbi Ra'anan decided to move his home to Hebron seven years ago. He lived very close to the place where Jesse, the father of King David, and Ruth, the Moabite, were buried. For him it was a fulfillment of prophecy and the Word of G-d to redeem Hebron, the city of our fathers, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob and our mothers, Sarah, Rebekah, Leah and Rachel; the city which was the first capital of King David and the kingdom of Israel. Hebron is a very holy city for Israel, like Jerusalem. Even during the time of exile over the last 2000 years, there never ceased to be a Jewish community in this holy city. This is the first city, together with Jerusalem, where Abraham started his godly mission for his seed, Israel, and for all the nations. He asked to be buried in this city and his testimony to his seed. Israel, was to make this city an eternal focus for the Israeli nation and to keep its holiness. Every stone that is picked up in this city is a memorial to the Jewish history of this city and a message for the future generations of Israel.

The murderer, Yasser Arafat, and his terror organizations, the PLO and Hamas, want to destroy the Jewish community in Hebron, to kill all of them and to make Hebron an Islamic Arab city. They want to repeat what they did in 1929 when they killed more than 100 innocent Jews of the Jewish community in Hebron. All were cruelly killed in terrible pogrom which was carried out on the Jewish community. Babies, children, pregnant women, mothers, fathers and the elderly were brutally killed in a manner even worse than that done by the Nazis. Now they want to repeat this slaughter.

In the last few months, five Israelis have been murdered by these terrorists in Judea, Samaria and the Old City of Jerusalem. In this way they are trying to stop G-d's plans and activities to redeem the land and people of Israel. At the moment that this godly process started in the Promised Land, they started to kill Jewish Zionist pioneers in the land of Israel.

Two hundred years ago, the first of Gershon Salomon's forefathers came to Israel as a pioneer to redeem the land and the people of Israel and to prepare for the coming of the Mashiach on the Temple Mount and Jerusalem. He was killed by Arab terrorists in the Old City in the same way, with a knife, thinking that in this way they could stop the G-d of Israel and His children from fulfilling His prophetic end-time plans. They were deluded, exactly as the are today, to think that by assassination and pogroms they can stop this godly end-time process. They don't want to learn from their own experience that G-d will not allow them or anyone else to stop Him and His children, Israel, and to bring about another destruction in His beloved land. For everyone that they kill thousands of Israelis will come to continue what He started. They can never destroy and kill the spirit that the G-d of Israel put in His children. The Spirit of G-d will always win and defeat the cruel enemies of G-d and Israel. The godly Zionist process of redemption cannot and will not retreat. Only the G-d of Israel controls the destiny of Israel and none of its enemies. Soon we shall see the accomplishment of G-d's prophetic end-time plans in Hebron, all over the land of Israel and on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem. The rebuilding of Hebron by Rabbi Ra'anan and his students is a step and the last stage before the rebuilding of the House of G-d on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem. Rabbi Ra'anan's last will and testament is to continue intensively with no fear what he started and to only trust in G-d
